EY ECA organized a four-day summer school for YEEs in partnership with UNFPA and UNICEF in the summer of 2018.
EY ECA received 167 applications from 11 countries of the region and selected 34 YEEs who were offered full or partial scholarships. The official launch of the EY ECA chapter happened on the first day of the School.

The school focused on building skills and knowledge in evaluation. The trainer at the school was Natalia Kosheleva, former President of IOCE, former Co-Chair of EvalPartners, and member of the Russian Association of Specialists in Program and Policy Evaluation (ASPPE). The school ran theoretical sessions as well as workshop exercises. The sessions covered the topics that included main stages of evaluation, approaches to describe projects for evaluation purposes, evaluation criteria and design, gender-sensitive evaluation, social justice and human rights based evaluation, major data collection methods, design of data collection tools, and methods of information analysis. In addition to the main program, the trainer offered M&E consultations, clinics, where participants shared examples from their own experience and asked questions related to evaluation of projects they worked on.
